| jon: | i just realized, american office episode 101 completely copies this |
Sat, 20 Sep 08 17:57:25 -0700
| Dale: | The American version is much better. There are reasons why American Movies and TV are the most popular. |
Sun, 21 Sep 08 13:52:37 -0700
| Haya: | oh yuck. terrible. |
Sun, 21 Sep 08 15:22:00 -0700
| Silvia: | I agree with "Haya" I like the American version soooo much better. I like the American characters alot more too. This is just kinda corny and boring. |
Sun, 21 Sep 08 15:28:03 -0700
| Paul: | You do all realise that the US version came after and that the basic premise and storylines have been copied right. Without Gervais and the other writers there would be no US Office which is good but still inferior to the original. |
Sun, 21 Sep 08 18:18:09 -0700
| Tom: | Let me guess Dale, you're an american. And therefore of course everything is better, this is like a youtube comment board , it smacks of immaturity. Another point, why watch the Uk episodes if you don't enjoy them? Both versions have their fans but seeing as the original was aired almost 7 years ago in the UK, most who followed the original series like me regard it as one of the best comedies of recent years with the US version basically being a copy with different actors. End of. |

| Sammi: | Sorry UK but there are more American seasons, obviously it's way funnier, way better and more liked than this crap, sorry! |
Thu, 25 Sep 08 19:06:44 -0700
| ME: | The secretary is better looking, but I like the character selection over all for the American version (just as the black dude, stiff Christian lady, etc). I would say both are pretty darn'd funny, each in their own different way. I guess I find the American version a bit more funny, but I reckon that's purely because I live in Australia I get exposed to American humour more. |
Tue, 30 Sep 08 05:45:21 -0700
| Hunt: | Yes the American version is a copy of the UK version and i completely give the UK version its due cuz without them we could never have the American one but to me the American is soo much better. It just has better energy and the characters are more colorful and in-depth. |

| : | The British version hands down better than the US copies. US versions are dumbed down, less edgy, less balls. I like the US version too but they don't come close to the classic originals! The Americans always have to go for the cheesy happy endings too. |

| Moose: | The original is always the best. |
Thu, 09 Oct 08 14:43:36 -0700
| Wazzock: | The American one is a dumbed down version of the British one. The plots are spelt out clearer and there is far less subtlety. It just proves that eveyone knows Americans are stupid! Why else would they take a sledgehammer to the delicate suggestions which make the office so funny in the first place?! |
Fri, 10 Oct 08 08:36:09 -0700
| roy: | this is probably the worst episode of the office in the history of the world... how does anyone find this funny again? |
Sun, 12 Oct 08 18:01:47 -0700
| American: | Hey yellow toothed brits, if were so stupid how did we break off from you? If you think the UK office is better ( which its quite retarded and boring) why dont you vote in the poll and see the results? Fucking condescending prick brits. |
Mon, 13 Oct 08 13:52:05 -0700
| Jackie: | This show doesn't hold a candle to the American version. Yes, the American version is based on the u.k. version but it is superior. There is a reason why American movies are distributed all over the world and are successful where as british movies bomb at the box offices in other countries. Case in point the u.k. version lasted two seasons where as the American version is on season five and still going strong. |

| Jackie: | By the way Paul you spelt realize wrong. |

| America kicks the U.K.'s Ass: | I always thought that America cut off political connections to be able to be more free with are views and get away from King George but now I see it was to get away from their lame ass sense of humor! |

| Mike: | I'm from Canada and the US version is 100X better, I didn't find this episode funny at all. Looked like a bnuch of high school actors to me. |
Wed, 22 Oct 08 17:48:21 -0700
| Dan: | I am American, I really like the UK version better! It is absolutely hilarious |
Thu, 23 Oct 08 13:12:25 -0700
| kyle: | this is original and its meant to be corny, the us version is more like a sitcom, but is still quite good..........Brent is a hero |
Mon, 27 Oct 08 15:26:41 -0700
| Donuts: | I don't know if it's just me but even tho this was the first version of this show the american version is funnier... |

| asdf: | boring! horrible actors especially whoever plays David Brent |
Sun, 09 Nov 08 19:57:16 -0700
| jda: | The original versions of this show are hilarious. Anyone who says otherwise is just used to the American version. This is where it all started. The American version is nothing without this... |
Fri, 14 Nov 08 19:35:10 -0700
| a-rock: | this is pretty funny. Im a fan of the us version and it is cool to see jim and his european counterpart's personality. Its like watching bizarro world... kooky |

Sat, 29 Nov 08 20:25:36 -0700
| Trom: | at the end of the day, of course you americans arent gonna find it funny, british and american have a completely different sense of humour |
Mon, 01 Dec 08 17:39:45 -0700
| Trom: | its funny cos this is what the average office boss is like here....thats why brent is brilliant. also jackie, paul isn't wrong, in britain we do infact spell it REALISE. |
Mon, 01 Dec 08 17:44:12 -0700
| Justice: | The UK version is by far the funnier of the two (bring the original). The characters in the UK Office are spot on in terms of casting. The US version feels a little forced and scripted (like the hideously perdictable FRIENDS). The US version has taken something that worked very well in the UK and simply tailored for the US market. However Curb Your Enthusiasm and Blackadder trump The Office and are still the greatest comedies of all time! Extras is right up and it itself is based on Larry Da |
Wed, 17 Dec 08 00:24:40 -0700
| Matt: | this sucks compared to the american version |
Sat, 20 Dec 08 17:48:13 -0700
| Tavius: | OK just to negate the stereotypes, i am an american and i love the US version of the office...never missed an episode however, the UK version is hillarious to me also... i felt like out of respect for the creators i should at least watch the pilot of the UK version and now i am a fan of both.. different flag same colors i guess :) |
Tue, 06 Jan 09 00:23:51 -0700
| Olivia: | I really love both versions. The US The Office is very like the original in the beginning, but as it goes on it comes into it's own more and is more of an interpretation of the original and less of a copy. As far as cross-over shows go, both versions are incredible. |
Tue, 06 Jan 09 22:15:31 -0700
| ally: | im a brit and i enjoy both the officeUS is more sitcom funny and the office UK is more witty funny |
Fri, 09 Jan 09 16:05:11 -0700
| erin: | i am a brit and i like bith they are different US sitcom funny UK witty funny |
Fri, 09 Jan 09 20:16:52 -0700
| ally & erin: | GO THE OFFICE |
Fri, 09 Jan 09 20:18:03 -0700
| : | wow, UK version SUCKS! not even funny... golly...stupid british |
Wed, 21 Jan 09 20:13:25 -0700
| Chris: | Lol, just reading through this makes me laugh. All the Americans talking about how stupid are comedy is and how yellow are teeth is.... very mature. I don't understand how anyone can even believe that the U.S one is better. It's just the uk one with less intelligent humour. It's stories are easier to follow, they've produced series of it for too long (Ricky left uk version at season 2 so that it would be finished on a bang- the us version has just dragged on.) ALso the characters are over exager |
Fri, 23 Jan 09 15:53:40 -0700
| richey: | britain sucks US FOREVER |
Tue, 03 Mar 09 14:31:28 -0700
| kate: | I bet all those who prefer the us version are from America or are exposed to American tv alot. The UK version is so freaking hilarious and much better than the us version by far. The US version is ok but American humour is so cheesy and played out, the UK version is more edgy and less fake. There is a reason why this great comedy masterpiece originated from the UK! |
Sat, 14 Mar 09 09:20:45 -0700
| tom1: | I live in America but the UK version has more intellect and wit the US version is more simple dumb funny...which is typically made for the simpletons of America (excluding myself). SIMPLE MINDED AMERICANS...I don't know why we can never appreciate when another country has created something better than us |
